A neighborhood mainstay since 2004.
Food, music, coffee, craft beer and wine — under one roof on Water Street, Excelsior.
From lumber mill to listening room
Since 2004, 318 Cafe has cultivated a strong and loyal following for food, music, coffee, craft beer and wine. We live in a 100+ year-old building that was once a lumber mill — now home to one of Minnesota's premier, intimate live-music "listening rooms," just 60 seats deep.
That intimacy is the whole point. There's no bad seat, no talking over the band, no barrier between you and the stage — just a warm room built for actually hearing the music.

Rooted in local
We support a long list of local businesses in our day-to-day — Minnesota breweries, Stickney Hill Farms, Ridgeroll Farms, Dogwood Coffee, La Quercia, Breadsmith, Excelsior Farmers Market vendors and many more. Good food and good music start with good neighbors.
Come see the room for yourself.
Stop in for coffee, stay for dinner, and catch a show in the listening room.
